FEATURES
THE
DARK-LIGHT
TECHNIQUE IS RELATED
TO THE CUT-OFF ANGLE
OF THE LAMPS AND
THE REFLECTOR. THIS
METHOD PROVIDES HIGH
VISUAL
COMFORT
BY
DECREASING THE DIRECT
GLARE ON OBJECTS AND
INSTALLATIONS,
THUS
TAKING THE MAXIMUM RENDERING ADVANTAGE OF THE
LIGHT. PRODUCING A RESULT ON WHICH IT IS POSSIBLE
TO OBTAIN THE BEST LIGHTING OUTPUT WITHOUT SEEING
THE ELEMENT THAT PRODUCES IT. CUT-OFF IS THE ANGLE
FORMED BETWEEN THE CEILING (HORIZONTAL) AND AN
IMAGINARY STRAIGHT LINE THAT IS TANGENT TO THE
LAMP AND PASSES BY THE EDGE OF THE REFLECTOR. IF
OUR VISUAL FIELD IS POSITIONED WITHIN THIS ANGLE, IT
IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE THE LAMP IN FUNCTION. DOWN-
LIGHTS SUPPLIED WITH INTEGRATED CELL-DIFFUSERS
PRODUCE THE SAME EFFECT AS ANTIGLARE LOUVERS AND
CAN HAVE AN IMPORTANT BEARING ON DIRECT GLARE.
AS A RESULT OF THIS, THE VISUAL COMFORT INCREASES
AND MAKES IT MOST SUITABLE TO USE IN WORK AREAS
WITH COMPUTER-SCREENS, SUBSTANTIALLY REDUCING
THE DISABILITY GLARE THAT USUALLY REFLECTS ON
THE SAME.
